Join Us as an AI Developer – Internal AI Platform

KPMG is making a bold, multi-billion dollar investment in artificial intelligence, and at the heart of this transformation is KPMG Workbench – a scalable, multi-agent AI platform built on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry. Workbench is already powering client delivery platforms like KPMG Clara, Velocity, and Digital Gateway, and features over 50 AI agents with nearly 1,000 more in development. This is not just a technological leap – it’s a global commitment to AI excellence and innovation.

As part of KPMG Vietnam’s internal AI team, you’ll help build and scale AI solutions that are used across the firm, contributing directly to our transformation journey.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Developer to join our AI Innovation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable, enterprise-grade AI applications on top of the company’s core AI model platform, leveraging modern technologies (Python, APIs, and cloud services) to enable rapid development, deployment, and integration of AI solutions, while contributing to reusable AI foundations and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop and Deliver AI Applications

Build and maintain AI-powered applications and backend APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask), integrating ML/NLP capabilities into scalable business solutions.

2. Translate Requirements into Scalable AI Solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design practical, enterprise-aligned solutions based on business use cases and AI Innovation strategy.

3. Build, Optimize and Integrate Data and AI Pipelines

Prepare and process data, integrate models, and optimize performance for reliability, scalability, and real-world usage.

4. Deploy, Operate and Integrate on Enterprise Platforms

Containerize and deploy solutions using Docker and Azure services; integrate with enterprise systems (SQL, Cosmos DB, Knowledge Graph) ensuring stability, monitoring, and reuse.

5. Ensure Standardization, Reusability and Agile Delivery

Document architecture and workflows, follow governance and security standards, develop reusable components (APIs, prompts), and support multiple AI initiatives with agility..

Qualifications & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), software engineering principles, and development best practices.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, C#,  JavaScript.
• Proven experience using Python to build applications; experience in building AI/ML applications is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI and/or Flask for backend development.
• Practical experience with Docker for application containerization and deployment.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (e.g. App Services, Storage, Azure Functions, or related services).
• Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and Knowledge Graph technologies is a plus.
• Exposure to ASP.NET, SQL, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Good understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in English (reading and speaking) is required.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work within enterprise-grade development environments and governance standards.
