About the role

We are seeking a suitably qualified Assistant to join our Due Diligence team in Vietnam. KPMG’s Due Diligence group provides market leading financial and commercial due diligence and structuring advice and forms part of the firms’ overall deal advisory practice.
As a Deal Advisory professional, you will be at the forefront of advising local and international corporate and private equity clients on a variety of transaction types across a broad spectrum of industries. You will also work closely with KPMG professionals from our other deal advisory businesses and from across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of financial due diligence engagements, focusing on analyzing main sections in business’ historical performance and sustainability of earnings/cash flows, working capital cycles, financial projections, key contractual commitments, accounting policies and management report.
- Support the preparation of due diligence reports, summarizing findings and providing critical insights to clients and senior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information and provide support throughout the transaction process.
- Assist in identifying potential financial, operational, and compliance risks during due diligence procedures.
- Strengthening critical thinking and professional judgment skills including improving technical research skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Participate in client meetings and assist in addressing queries related to financial data and analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and accounting principles to ensure accurate and relevant analysis.
- Demonstrating capacity and capability for continuous learning including actively seeking specific feedback from peers, seniors and managers.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Fresh graduate or 1-to-2-year experience in audit, tax, financial/accounting advisory
- University graduate in in accounting, finance, audit, banking
- Some or all the following skills - financial due diligence, transaction structuring and/or business valuation
- Strong willingness and ability to further develop your technical knowledge and learn from others
- An excellent command of written and spoken English and Vietnamese
- Proven analytical and thinking skills, with attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork experience
- Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project skills
- Demonstrated “can do” attitude
