Key Responsibilities
About the role
The National IT Security Officer (NITSO) plays a critical role in protecting KPMG's information assets and ensuring compliance with relevant IT security regulations and standards. You will be responsible for developing and implementing IT security policies and procedures, conducting security assessments, and responding to security incidents.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate IT security risks.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to ensure the effective implementation of IT security measures.
- Contributing to practice management, e.g. knowledge sharing, training, proposition development, and knowledge management
Qualifications & Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security, including experience in a national or global organization.
- Experience to conduct security assessments, including vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Strong understanding of IT security concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Experience with security assessment methodologies and tools.
- Experience with incident response and handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- System certifications: MCSA, MCSE
- Network certifications: CCNA, Network+,
- Security certification: CEH, Security+, CCNA Security, AWS Certified Security Specialist, Microsoft Certified Azure
- Security Engineer Associate, CISM, CISSP
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Experience with security incident and event management (SIEM) tools.
