The Finance and Accounting department plays an important part not only as traditional roles of FIN&ACC areas but also approaches toward for more modern role to provide wider supports and services as one of key Busines Partner to the Firm.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Manager

Role Summary: The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining effective internal controls. This role involves managing the accounting team and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:


1.    Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in VAS & IFRS.
  •  Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

2.    Accounting Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.

3.    Internal Controls and Compliance:

  •  Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems.
  • Stay current with accounting standards and industry best practices.

4.    Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide insights and recommendations.

5.    Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
     

Qualifications & Experiences

  • A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields or a Master degree will be a plus

  • Professional qualifications (e.g. CA, ACCA, CPA) is a plus

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Behavior:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in relevant position with good understanding of accounting, financial, operational and reporting processes and systems. We encourage strong candidates who possess professional audit and commercial background.

  • Display leadership qualities and demonstrate effective management to ensure the team perform at high levels of compliance with policy, achievement and commitment to meet deadlines and KPIs.

  • A team player who is proactive, possess curiosity, strong skills/experience working with higher management level and well manage coordination with other related functions.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with carefulness and “can-do” attitude with fast learning ability

  • Excellent skill of identification of potential issues, problem solving skill, seeking of innovation idea and solution.

  • Strong communication (written, verbal) and presentation skills

  • Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project skills
