Our services

Along with financial and management auditors, IT Auditors can be involved in financial or operational audit engagements to provide IT-related control assurance; or they can work as an independent team to assess a client's processes, systems, or projects as part of an IT audit engagement.

At KPMG, IT Audit is a function within Technology Risk Consulting. Our IT auditors are well-versed in both Business and Information Technology.  The dual capability teaches us not only discipline, standardization, and professional skepticism, but also how to be open-minded, flexible, innovative, and adaptable.   We frequently collaborate with other consulting teams to offer value to our customers' businesses through our holistic perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist team leaders in planning and executing daily tasks related to IT risk consulting engagements.
• Participate in performing IT audit procedures to evaluate IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Application Controls in various systems and environments.
• Support the assessment of technology-related risks and document control deficiencies or process improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to developing practical recommendations to mitigate IT and cybersecurity risks.
• Provide support in delivering additional consulting services, such as IT project management, IT governance reviews, cybersecurity assessments, and regulatory compliance analysis.
• Stay updated on current technology trends, cybersecurity risks, and relevant laws and regulations to enhance advisory capabilities.

Qualifications & Experiences

• Educational background in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields. A minor or additional studies in Economics, Accounting, or Business is a plus.
• Solid understanding of IT concepts such as networks, databases, operating systems, cloud computing, and basic cybersecurity principles.
• Familiarity with common enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) and an interest in how technology supports business operations.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Vietnamese.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and a quick learner.
• Good interpersonal skills with a balanced personality (comfortable with teamwork and individual tasks).
• Customer-centric mindset and a strong willingness to grow in the field of IT risk and consulting.
